Chester County Visitors Center Adjacent to Longwood Gardens

Our Visitors Center offers personal assistance, gift items and memorabilia, an exhibit on the underground railroad and the opportunity for member businesses to house their printed materials and rent exhibit space. Maps, reservations services and event information are available to visitors all year except the Christmas and Thanksgiving day holidays. Ideally located across from the entrance to Longwood Gardens, our staff and volunteers assist thousands of walk-in visitors per year. The staff and volunteers of the Chester County Visitors Center also visit member properties on familiarization tours better acquaint themselves with what they are promoting. We highly encourage new members to offer hosting one of these tours.
Contact the Director of Membership.

www.BrandywineValley.com

The Visitors Bureau's web site contains a wealth of information. Membership entitles you to a free 30-word listing, as well as Calendar of Events submissions. Also, if you have your own web site, we will link that site to ours for free. The Visitors Bureau promotes our web site by placing our site address on all advertisements, press releases, stationery, and a variety of search engines. We also maintain the group tour, meeting planners' and Brandywine Sampler package web sites all linked to our site. Contact the Director of Communications for more information on obtaining additional listings.

Chester County Conference & Visitors Bureau’s Official Visitors Guide

The Chester County Official Visitors Guide entitles members to a 30-word listing and Calendar of Events submissions, which is published twice a year - Spring/Summer and Winter/Fall. This is the Visitors Bureau's primary piece used to promote the Brandywine Valley. Only members may advertise in this publication.

Member Update: News for Members and Friends

The Visitors Bureau publishes a bi-monthly newsletter to inform you of the Visitors Bureau's progress, spotlight member organizations and remind you of upcoming events we are hosting or planning.

General Inquiry Leads

Members receive sets of general inquiry leads periodically throughout the year. These leads consist of individuals who have called our 800 number and requested information. The individual lead contains the name, address, expected date of travel and interests. The leads are available in label format. The Visitors Bureau's information is sent to these individuals. The leads allow the member business to promote themselves in addition to the Visitors Bureau's efforts.

Group Tour Promotion

The Visitors Bureau promotes the Brandywine Valley attending six sales missions and over 22 shows and conventions each year. Members are entitled to co-op and attend any number of sales missions and shows with us. Members interested in group tour business receive the leads from the shows. Each lead specifies the company name, contact person, address, phone number, area of interest, and where they currently tour. The information allows the Visitors Bureau's members to follow-up directly with companies and increase their sales. Familiarization tours for tour operators and group leaders are offered throughout the year. The Visitors Bureau highly encourages members to participate in these familiarization tours

Networking Opportunities

Members are invited to mixers, seminars, and our annual dinner. These functions allow members to interact with each other on a business and social level. There are usually approximately six to ten member events a year.

Travel Writers and Media

The Visitors Bureau strives to turn readers into visitors by encouraging travel writers, editors and other media outlets to visit the Brandywine Valley and compose print, Internet and T.V. pieces about the Brandywine Valley.
